Al Chu’s is Hosting ‘Pop-Up’ Sushi on The Riverfront This Friday!
Here’s something fun if you are looking ahead to Friday! Al Chu’s Sushi is hosting a pop-up eatery at Constitution Yards on the Riverfront. The pop-up begins at 4 pm on Friday and runs while supplies last. The menu will include spicy tuna rolls, California rolls and the ‘firecracker’ roll. You can also get a seaweed salad and some fried shrimp dumplings. Of course, the menu will feature Al’s signature “hairy” roll.
Al Chu’s is one of eight restaurants in the DECO Food Hall at the corner of 10th and Orange Streets. They feature sushi and poke bowls. You may remember Al Chu as the longtime chef at Mikimotos on Washington Street in Wilmington. He left in 2017 to work at The Wellwood in Carlestown, MD. Unfortunately, DECO closed in March because of COVID-19. Although there is no definite reopening date, DECO told The News Journal it will likely be sometime in the fall.
