104 Year Old Marine Veteran Receives Over 300,000 Valentine’s Day Cards
104 Year Old Marine, Bill White, wanted to fill a scrapbook of 100 Valentine’s Day cards, but instead got about 3,000 times that amount and counting. World War II Marine Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart, Major Bill White received an overwhelming global response when he asked for Valentines. They came from all over the world, from complete strangers. He certainly felt the love on Valentine’s Day.
Strangers sent the Veteran various gifts, like quilts, blankets, artwork, cups, mugs, military memorabilia, coins, hats, t-shirts, and so much more. Mail is still coming in!
Although Valentine’s Day has passed this year, if you’d still like to send your thanks and love to Major Bill White, you can certainly do so.
