Heartlight Foundation to Serve Families in Need Throughout Wilmington

The Heartlight Foundation, an organization that offers relief to individuals and families in need of support, is set to hold its first Community Pop-Up event on July 31 at Wilmington’s Judy Johnson Park from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is expected to offer a variety of support for people in attendance including meals, care kits and games. The organization’s Executive Director Kathy Tucker says the event is the first of more to come in Wilmington to support disadvantaged individuals and families in the surrounding area.
“The goal of our organization is to meet the increasing demand for services of this vulnerable population, and to make a difference by taking our programs to the streets and neighborhoods of our Mid-Atlantic communities,” Tucker said in a press statement. According to its website, the Heartlight Foundation provides services and support for the homeless and those in crisis through programs and collaboration with other organizations in the community.
The upcoming event will be partnered with multiple other community organizations including Elevation Outreach, the Delaware Dream Center and Primera Casa De Oracion.
