Delaware Man Pursuing License To Keep Deer As A Pet
A Newark man has taken his love for Bambi to the next level. He has created a special bond with a deer that he hopes to soon officially make his pet. According to 6abc.com, Messiah El left a trail of bread crumbs leading into his house a few month ago. To his surprise, the deer, who he named after Bambi of course, followed him into the house.
El says the deer now comes over whenever she wants to be fed. She also takes naps on the couch and even taps on the door when she wants to leave or use the bathroom. El says the deer gets along well with his dog but, not so much with the cat. Bambi likes driving in the car and even answers to her name. El doesn’t own the deer and always let’s her go her own way, she always comes back though!
Since the Delaware Department of Natural Resources has informed El it’s illegal to possess wildlife inside your house, he has since started the process of obtaining a deer license.
