Krispy Kreme Debuts Doughnut For Mars Rover Landing
According to CNN.com, on February 18th NASA’s Perseverance rover will go through “seven minutes of terror” to land on Mars. While you watch the coverage Krispy Kreme has a special treat to celebrate. This will be the first rover to land on Mars since Curiosity in 2012.
The limited edition Krispy Kreme donut will be red like Mars itself. It will also only be available on Thursday, February 18th. It will be a caramel dipped and chocolate cream filled donut. Expect it to also be topped with a swirl made to look like Mars. It will even have chocolate cookie crumbs added to look like Mars dust.
If you have submitted your name for NASA’s “Send Your Name To Mars” campaign, which had nearly 11 million submissions you will receive the donut for free. Just bring your “boarding pass” that says that your name is on the Perseverance rover.
