Crocs Were Finally “Cool” In 2020
For many retail businesses 2020 was a tough year. For the footwear brand Crocs, 2020 was “bittersweet” in terms of sales. During a global pandemic Crocs was able to deliver their strongest revenue in history. According to newser.com, going into 2021 the brand expects to see a 20% increase in sales again this year.
Crocs were once seen as black eye on the fashion industry. The question is what caused this massive change?! Could it be that customers realized they’d rather be comfortable than fashionable when it comes to footwear? They can also be sanitized and cleaned easily, making them a convenient product amidst a pandemic. Or did the massive endorsement from famous recording artists such as Post Malone and Justin Bieber make the brand desirable to a younger demographic?
