You know that a lot of cool movies have been filmed in the First State, but did you know some actors are actually from Delaware? Here are some of the 5 more recognizable names from Delaware!

• Valerie Bertinelli

  Bertinelli was born in Wilmington and lived in Claymont for a while before her family eventually settled in Los Angeles, California. Bertinelli is most well known for her roles in One Day at a Time, Touched by an Angel and Hot in Cleveland. She started her acting career in 1971 and continues to act today, her current project Hungry is still in production. She was also married to Eddie Van Halen and shared a son, Wolfgang, with him.

  Born Theresa Elizabeth Polo, Teri was born and raised in Dover, Delaware before moving to NYC at the age of 17. She is most well known for her roles in the Freeform drama The Fosters as Stef Adams Foster. She also starred in Meet the Fockers as Pam Focker and had many guest roles on TV Shows such as Criminal Minds, Felicity, Frasier, The West Wing and many more.

  Born in Wilmington in 1984, Aubrey Plaza graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2002 and began her acting career shortly after in 2006. Plaza is most known for her role as April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation. She has made it clear the comedy is her forte, starring in films like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The To Do List, Dirty Grandpa and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Plaza has talked about being named “The Most Famous Person from Delaware” on Conan O’Brien’s talk show.

She had a main role on their first season of Amazon Prime’s The Boys and has made a return as Ali Mills on Cobra Kai.
