Nickelodeon Announces New ‘SpongeBob’ Spinoff
Patrick Star is now the star of the new SpongeBob spin-off series!! Nickelodeon has just confirmed the new series which is expected to premiere sometime this summer. According to Complex.com, the show will be a prequel to the SpongeBob show we all know and love. It will take place while Patrick lives with his parents and hosts a TV show from his childhood bedroom.
Patrick will still be voiced by Bill Fagerbakke who has played the character since 1999. There will also be plenty of new characters also including the Star family, which consists of Patrick’s sister, parents, and grandpa.
As of now the first season is expected to be 13 episodes long, however Brian Robbins who is the president of Nickelodeon says we can expect to see more SpongeBob spin-offs in the future. The Patrick Star Show will premier on Nickelodeon and then shortly after will be available on Paramount Plus.
