Foster Dad Adopts 5 Siblings To Keep Them From Being Separated
An Ohio man, age 29, was separated from his siblings in foster care when he was a child. Years later, he didn’t want another group of sibling to experience the same thing, so he adopted all 5 of them!
According to People.com, Robert Carter was 12 years old when he was separated in foster care from all eight of his siblings. Since 2018 he has had three boys in his care who have now been reunited with their 2 sisters. His hopes are that they are able to grow old together and support each other through-out their lives.
Robert remembers as a child taking care of his siblings as the third oldest of nine. Once the rest of his siblings were separated he remembers the depression that came from not knowing if his brothers and sisters were okay. Now he has the opportunity to change this path for another group of children. On October 30th, Robert officially became the parent of all five children after a six month adoption process.
