Four People Found Dead In Tents In Stanton, Delaware
Four individuals were found dead inside tents in Stanton, Delaware woods on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, according to Delaware State Police.
Police are currently investigating, although it is still in the early stages. Information on how the victims died has not been released.
Just after 3pm on Tuesday, police responded to a call stating four people were found dead at the 500 block of Main Street near Telegraph Road in Stanton, Delaware. The victims have not been publicly identified. The bodies will be turned over to Forensics where an autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
The four deceased victims were relative to each other; an uncle, his nephew, his girlfriend, and a friend. All of whom were believed to be homeless.
According to authorities, it’s possible the four persons died from carbon monoxide poisoning, as a propane heater was equipped to the tent. With this being said, police believes there was no foul play involved and the heater was dropped off for warmth.
