Food Network released their list of the Top 50 Over-the-Top Treats in the country and a sweets spot at the beach took Delaware’s top prize.
At one Rehoboth Restaurant, Sweet Charlie’s, the Tall Charlie was named the most over-the-top treat in all of Delaware.
It contains the super popular rolled ice cream tucked into a hot dog bun shaped glazed donut.
Customers can choose their flavor of frozen yogurt, ice cream, or vegan ice cream to be stuffed inside the Tall Charlie.
Have It Your Way
Next, come the mix-ins! The Wonderfilled contains Oreo cookies. the Namaste has strawberries and cheesscake bites, and the Off Duty has coffee flavors and donuts mixed in.
The Tall Charlie will run you $9 at 70 Rehoboth Ave, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, 19971 First Street Station.
Sweet Charlie’s says they “aim to change the way ice cream is produced. Fresh, made-to-order, with no preservatives, emulsifiers, or stabilizers…the way it should be!” and that their ice cream and yogurt bases are “poured onto an ice cold surface along with the ingredients you select. Everything mixes and mingles until the consistency is just right for rolling” according to their website.
The crazy Rehoboth Restaurant dessert item does some have local competition, though.
Best Dessert In The Tri-State
