The Brandywine School District Delays Start of the School Year Until Mid September
The Brandywine School District board voted on Monday night to delay the start of the school year until September 16th. School Board President John Skrobot says the uncertainty prompted the decision to push back the student start date. However, teachers will still start on August 24th. Skrobot added the delay gives them time to properly prepare for whatever form of learning will be employed. The delayed start does not impact the district’s end date in June 2021. The state will announce reopening plan for charters and districts early next month.
