Barclays announced that it is adding jobs in Delaware thanks to a $6.9 million capital investment. The bank is adding a new call center to its US consumer business headquarters in Wilmington. 300 jobs answering phones and 23 managerial positions will be created.  A grant from the Delaware Council on Development Finance will support the bank’s expansion. They will also see about $2.5 million in taxpayer dollars for employee training and capital expenses.  Delaware’s economy will see a $150 million impact from the new jobs. The bank removed 500 jobs from the site just about one year ago. The project is expected to be running in the new year.
