5 Delaware Arts Organizations To Receive $1M In Grants
Delaware Arts Organizations have always been low-key top notch. There are so many impressive organizations bringing wonderful entertainment to Delaware’s audiences. They can continue impressing thanks to the $1m in grants they will be receiving.
The National Endowment for the Arts announced a second round of funding to support a wide range of projects.
“The Arts enrich our lives and contribute to healthy and thriving communities,” said NEA Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD.
The Delaware Division of the Arts Director Jessica Ball responded to the generous support. “This significant investment is a testament to the immense talent and creative spirit that thrives in our vibrant arts community”, said Ball.
The arts take quite a hit when anything goes south in the economy. During the height of the pandemic when everything closed, arts organizations were one of the first to close and one of the last to reopen.
Recovering after years of impact from Covid-19 have taken quite a toll on some of our beloved arts organizations. This funding will undoubtedly be a huge help.
The arts can only stay alive and well if we continue to support them. Go out to a show. Visit a local venue, make a small donation, buy your family tickets for Christmas. Supporting the arts can be easy. Get out there and have fun!
