Delaware Trooper Suspended Over Allegations Of Attack On 15-Year Old Boy
In what turns out to have been a prank go honerribly wrong, a Delaware trooper is now suspended from the job.
Last week in Wilmington, a group of teen boys played the age old prank of ding dong ditch at a random Delaware home. Little did the teens know that the home belonged to a Delaware State Trooper.
It is alleged that following the prank, the trooper and his partner went out to search for the boys. Upon finding them, the car pulled up behind the boys with the lights activated. He then reportedly ordered the boys to lie down on the ground, according to the family attorney.
The family and attorney of the family for the 15-year old boy, identified as Jayden, allege that the officer put Jayden into cuffs, put him in the cruiser and used one hand to shine a light in Jayden’s eyes while punching him with the other hand.
Delaware State Police have suspended one of their own as they investigate his conduct. The family of a 15-year-old boy named Jayden says on Monday, the trooper brutally beat the teen for playing ding-dong ditch.https://t.co/CcjWzYSTv1

According to a Facebook post that has since been removed, Jayden’s aunt said “The two state troopers arrested my nephews friends, then beat the living hell out of nephew,” the post said. “My nephew currently has a concussion, needs surgery to repair severe eye damage (as the cops stomped on him and kicked him multiple times),” reports USA Today.
Jayden was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The case is currently under investigation and the Delaware trooper suspended. The identity of the officer has not been released. The suspension came after officials reviewed the bodycam video of the incident.
