Wilmington’s Ladybug Music Festival Will Feature Big Local Names
The weekend long festival will take over Wilmington, Delaware in a matter of weeks.
Bands from the area will feature their female leads in an effort to celebrate women in music.
The Ladybug Music Festival has always been the largest, free celebration of Women in Music in the United States.
According to their website, “Ladybug started as a downtown block party, functioning as a tool for local economic revitalization. It has been credited with single-handedly energizing the music scene in Wilmington, Delaware, and Milford, Delaware.”
One big name set to appear is Nitro Nitra.
Nitro Nitra competed on NBC’s American Song Contest representing the state of Delaware. She performed her song “Train” on national television.
Nitro Nitra has headlined local venues like the Queen in Wilmington.
Back in March of 2022, before she headed to LA to compete on ASC, Nitro Nitra visited the WJBR studios. She talked to Deanna and Justin about her experiences, what let her to that moment and how she ended up being chosen for the show.
Nitro Nitra excused so much light wherever she goes, she’s a joy to be around and it’s amazing to watch her journey.
You can catch Nitro Nitra at The Ladybug Music Festival on Friday June 2nd. She will be performing a high-energy powerful collection of her songs for everyone on the Main Stage.
