NWS Confirms Tornado Touched Down on Friday
From 6 ABC: The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down Friday evening causing major damage in New Castle County. The tornado touched down around 5:40 near Brackenville Road and Barley Mill Road. It then traveled 3.8 miles east towards the Swallow Hill area. NWS estimated wind speeds at 105 mph. About 200 trees were damaged near the entrance of Wilmington Country Club. That marks the third tornado that touched down in Delaware during a three day span, as two touched down during tropical storm Isaias.
