The Full List of 50 States Ranked by Their Food
So “apparently” Texans have been ranked #1 out of all the 50 states for Best Food…
Now according to a friend, who has lived in both Delaware and Texas for years, “Texas BBQ does not compare to any barbecue in America…But there is no way a Texan can make a better cheese steak than one you find in Philly. And there’s absolutely no way I’m finding better seafood in Texas then I do in even Maryland so to say.”

Supposedly there lies a brilliant food chain by the name of Runza which people glorify. And then there's corn... (Photo by Thomas Lohnes/Getty Images)
Whomp, whomp, whomp. Delaware is way behind on the list. But we can really argue that? What does Delaware have that no one else does? Chicken maybe? And don't say Cheesesteaks. They belong to Pennsylvania! Crabcakes belong to Maryland!

With a surplus of pork, we mean sooo much pork. How does Iowa not appear further down the list for their barbecue? People will argue the pork tenderloin sandwiches, but are they really proportional to the bun? (Photo by Sean Gallup/Getty Images)

Potatoes, potatoes, and more potatoes. What else is there? Anything? (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)
This isn't an everyday meal in Kansas, don't be fooled. (Photo by Rick Diamond/Getty Images)

Maple Syrup that you can practically drink if you'd be so inclined. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)

Home of the spicy barbecue chicken and the Memphis glazes. (Photo by Guam Visitors Bureau via Getty Images)
Everything soul. everything cajun. From redfish to crawfish to jambalaya and gumbo. There's tons of food that is just far too delicious to not earn them such a high spot on the list.(Photo by Cheryl Gerber/Getty Images)
