Tropical Storm Fay is travelling up the Eastern Shore, bringing heavy rainfall to Coastal Delaware Friday (7/10/20) and high possibilities of flooding. Beaches are expected to see extreme rainfall, and dangerous rip currents. Some beaches along the East Coast are considering closing until it is safe to swim again. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Jersey Shore. The Jersey Shore along with Delaware beaches are expected to see the worst of it all, with winds reaching up to 35-45 mph, and rain amounts over 3 inches.

This tropical storm is said to be travelling north and falling more inland, thus helping itself die down.

But with all this said, Fay is not that large, so rain in Washington D.C. for example is not a definite as of right now. Any storms associated with Fay will likely not go too far into Northern Virginia.
