While most of the world has come to quite a halt especially when it comes to theme parks, Universal Studios Japan has not slowed construction one bit. Leaked aerial images of Super Nintendo World make the new construction appear as if its almost ready to open.

The new Super Nintendo World in Japan looks as if it’s been pulled straight from a Super Mario world and dropped into reality.

As you can see in the twitter video, there are coins, shells, piranha plants and more in motion. Bowser’s Castle looks incredible and overall, it just captures the world of Nintendo Mario perfectly.

Super Nintendo World is positioned in the theme park at Universal Studios Japan adjacent to the Harry Potter World.

It is not certain when guests can finally explore the Super Nintendo World for themselves. The area had been scheduled to open this month but it has now been delayed indefinitely due to the virus pandemic.

What is known is there will be a ride based on Yoshi, as well as another based on the Mario Kart series. Visitors will also be able to use a Mario-themed wristband called the Power Up Band along with their smartphone to track activities while in the Nintendo World.

Super Nintendo World is also planned for Universal Studios theme parks in Orlando, Hollywood, and Singapore at some point in the future.
