Delaware Could Be New Home For Growing Donut Chain
Delaware could be the new home for a growing donut chain with locations all around the United States.
According to Penn Live, Parlor Donuts is currently scouting future locations in Maryland and the Delaware beaches as it plan an expansion.
Parlor Donuts “specializes in layered, small-batch doughnuts, but also sells breakfast items, sandwiches, coffee and tea products, juices and kombucha. House coffee is a Proper Coffee Roasters, a blend served at all Parlor locations. It also carries vegan, gluten-friendly and keto-friendly products” according to Penn Live.
Parlor Donuts menu is vast and wide and will satisfy anyone’s cravings.
French Toast, Turtle Cheesecake, and Churro are just some of the flavors on their menu.
They also have a Campfire donut that looks to be a tribute to the classic fireside treat the s’more.
Anything s’more flavored is at the top of my list. There is a Sandy Beach flavor which has description but looks like actual sand.
The story of how Parlor Donuts was founded is interesting
According to Parlor Donuts website “Parlor Doughnuts was founded by Darrick Hayden, in partnership with Josh Tudela, in February of 2019. Darrick traveled the states extensively with his son’s band for several years. During those years, Darrick would seek out the area’s best doughnuts and coffee. His appreciation of good doughnuts grew, as his son’s appreciation for great coffee grew. With his son, Noah, the two launched a coffee shop in 2015 (Proper Coffee), which flourished, and gave birth to the concept of Parlor Doughnuts.”
Parlor Donuts also has a pretty cool merch line. I would rock the donut hat everywhere.
Check out the shop here.
Parlor Donuts will soon be opening in Pennsylvania before the donut chain start scouting locations in Delaware.
The first shop in the Northeast of the United States will open August 4th at 2350 Lincoln Highway in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County.
