Delaware Halloween Event Named One of America’s Favorite
Halloween is jam-packed with fun activities for kids and adults alike, including a Delaware Halloween event that’s been named one of the best in America. From Halloween parades to haunted houses, the fall season really brings so many memorable things to do and traditions to build. I always like going to haunted houses during the fall months, but some of them can be too scary for me. I also love hitting the local cider mill and walking through a glorious corn field, whether it’s haunted or not. There’s just something special about fall, and I think that’s why it’s a lot of people’s favorite season. It seems like all of my friends love fall more than any other season. In any case, if you’re looking for something fun to do in the state this season, check out this legendary Delaware Halloween event.
Halloween Event: Sea Witch Festival in Delaware
The Sea Witch Festival is back for 2024 and will take place on Oct. 25 through 27 in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It’s a major tradition and Halloween event in the area that really marks the ushering in of the fall and winter months. The experts at USA Today named it one of the best Halloween parades in the country. “While the Sea Witch Festival is named for a 19th century clipper ship that traversed the waters around Rehoboth Beach, it really started as a way to bring in tourists after the busy summer season,” they note. “Today the beloved annual event features two parades (one solely for dogs), when witches, monsters, and creepy characters fill the streets along with floats, live music, and other frolicky fearsome fun. Lots of family-friendly events abound throughout the weekend, from magic shows and pony rides to a broom-tossing contest.”
The Annual Sea Witch Festival is produced by the Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center. “This spook-tacular fall event features floats, bands, balloons, costumed characters, special vehicles, and more, all making their way along Rehoboth Avenue as part of the Chamber of Commerce’s three-day annual Sea Witch festival,” they state of the Halloween event. They really know how to make Halloween one of the biggest events of the year. In the USA Today article, they also highlighted the Village Halloween Parade in New York one of the best in the country, writing, “One of the largest Halloween gatherings in the country, New York City’s Village Halloween Parade celebrates 50 years of bands, giant puppets, costumes, dancers and more.” Reach out to me with your favorite fall events.
