Delaware Has One Of The Worst Colleges In America
Luckily, it’s not a school here in Wilmington. But, there is one school in Delaware that has made the list of the 50 worst schools in America. Ouch!
According to a study done by AlotFinance.com, that school is Wesley College located in Dover, DE coming in at number 29.
The school was recently acquired by Delaware State University, so some needed changes may be coming in the future.
In a ‘historic moment,’ Delaware State University and Wesley College officials today executed the final agreement that turns over the 50-acre downtown campus to the University, completing a process that began a year ago. #dsu https://t.co/fdh0usygtL pic.twitter.com/N1hvWTsB9T

Here’s what AlotFinance.com had to say about Wesley College. They say it’s over market compared to other colleges in the area, and students generally leave with $31,084 in debt. The good news is that they do earn $42,900 median salary six years after graduation. They go on to say that, one improvement Wesley could work on is the graduation rate, currently at 31%. This could be because the freshman retention rate is so low. Considering it’s so hard to get in (with a 62% acceptance rate), it’s strange students would leave so quickly.
Those are all very important factors to consider when choosing a college. Be sure to do your research before making such an important decision. You see all of he schools on the list of the Worst Colleges in America here.
