Two Of Our Favorite Holiday Parades Are This Week
Two of our favorite holiday parades are this week! And each features some of our favorite Philadelphia, Wilmington and WJBR personalities you heard on Turkeython this week!
We would like to thank 6ABC Action News personality Alicia Vitarelli who (for the fourth year) joined WJBR for Turkeython! This year she joined “Deanna and Justin In The Morning” at Hockessin’s Lantana Square Shopping Center Acme. Thanks to Alicia’s and everyone’s contribution, together we collected enough turkeys and food items to feed hundreds of families in New Castle County. The Ministry of Caring feeds the food insecure daily and has special holiday meals at their Emmanuel Dining Rooms.
We have the best listeners and we would like to thank you for your generosity.
Now we turn our attention to two of our favorite holiday parades!
THANKSGIVING IN PHILLY!
WJBR’s good friend Alicia Vitarelli joins 6ABC’s Cecily Tynan and Rick Williams for the oldest Thanksgving Parade in the USA, The 6abc/Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia.
The parade get’s underway at 8:30 Thanksgiving morning. The parade goes through the heart of Center City Philly and ends the at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. If you go, expect special guest stars, awesome floats, balloons and performances.
SATURDAY IN WILMINGTON!
Then, this Saturday November 26th, join “Deanna and Justin In The Morning” as they host the 58th Annual Wilmington Jaycees Christmas Parade! Look for Deanna and Justin on Market Street in Downtown Wilmington starting at 11am.
This year’s parade features local celebrities, marching bands, string bands, community organizations, floats, cartoon characters and of course Santa kicking off the holiday season!
If you go, the parade route starts at 2nd and Market and then travels north on Market Street. The reviewing stand with Deanna and Justin is at 10th and Market. The parade ends at 11th and Market.
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend from Mix 99.5 WJBR!
