Hi…I’m Eric “EJ” Johnson.   My high school friends started calling me “EJ The DJ” because that’s when I started in radio and hosting live events!  I grew up in South Jersey and have worked at radio stations in the tri-state area since I was 16.  Radio is in my blood and I’ve been lucky to have worked with and learn from many smart people at many great radio stations in our region.  Earlier in my career I was a DJ, Music Director and Program Director at top 40 and adult contemporary stations.  Then for many years I worked as a manager in sports talk and news talk radio.  

My wife Linda and I have been together since 1988!  We have raised 2 great kids-Steve and Lindsay- who are now young adults.   And  we have 2 middle aged cats!  

I enjoy working in the yard, hanging out with my friends, going to the beach and on hiking trips with my wife, and running.  Lots of running!  I’m looking forward to promoting and running in 5K’s with our listeners to help raise awareness and donations for charities who need help-helping the community– during these times that have been challenging for so many.   

I’m thrilled to get back to my music radio roots as Mix 99.5 WJBR’s Program Director and Afternoon Personality!  Join me for “Your Mix from The 80’s to Now” weekday afternoons from 2 till 7pm!
