WaWa Discounting Hoagies Thanks To The Phillies
The Hoagiefest jingle lives inside all of our heads! So it’s not surprising to see WaWa discounting hoagies thanks to the Phillies.
The specific Phillie? Lead-off hitter Kyle Schwarber.
According to NBC10 “In honor of both Schwarber’s and the team’s success, Wawa is extending “SchwarberFest” through the end of the series against the Houston Astros. The promotion sees the company sell its signature Shorti and classic hoagies for $5 and $6 a pop, respectively. As an added bonus, Wawa will also add the hot turkey Shorti and classic hoagies to the promotion starting Friday.”
‘Tis the season for a World Series win and hot turkey!
The Phillies made the World Series for the first time in 11 years and Kyle Schwarber was integral to their success.
The annual summer hoagie celebration, Hoagiefest, coincided with Kyle Schwarber’s insane hitting power. The left fielder hit homer after homer.
Fans flooded to social media to ask WaWa to extend their Hoagiefest into the fall so the “good juju” would continue for Kyle Schwarber and the Phillies.
The hoagie indulging has proven to be succesfful as the Phightins’ have made an unexpected run to the World Series and are four wins away from another championship.
“In addition to the promotion, Wawa is also celebrating the Phillies’ success this season by donating and another $25,000 – in addition to the $25,000 it donated last week – to Philabundance, the nonprofit food bank that helps people experiencing food insecurity around the Delaware Valley,” according to NBC10.
You will need to download the WaWa mobile app to take advantage of the discounts during this extended promotion.
