You can’t really go wrong with a quick bite. A recent study revealed Delaware’s favorite fast food chains.

Saving Spot recently released their list of favorite fast food chains across America.

According to their study “We identified the best-known fast-food chains for burgers, pizza, doughnuts, chicken and Mexican food. Then we located the branches of these in every state and the 50 most populous cities and analyzed the ratings they have on Google Maps. We created a weighted averaging system to calculate the top- and bottom-rated fast-food chains in each region.”

They also found out that Chick-Fil-A is the most popular chain overall in America.

They also found:

• Chick-fil-A is the top-rated fast-food chain in most states (34) and big cities (27 out of 50).
• Papa John’s is the lowest-rated chain in 16 states, more than any other chain.
• On a state-by-state basis, Five Guys is America’s favorite burger joint, and McDonald’s and Burger King are tied for America’s worst.
• 21 big cities rate Domino’s the lowest among fast-food chains — more than any other brand.

  Three Pennsylvania Cities Were Named The Most Neighborly

  Looking to make a change and maybe a move? Well three Pennsylvania cities were named the most neighborly in the country.

  Neighbor Blog has released their annual ranking of the “Most Neighborly Cities in America.”

  Three PA cities made the list. Unfortunately no Delaware towns made the top 25.

  Rochester, New York was ranked the most neighborly city in America according to the blog.

  Rochester was described “As a city that offers plenty to do in its bustling neighborhoods, all nestled among nature preserves and county parks, Rochester is known by locals to be a place where residents love to live and never hesitate to lend a hand to their neighbors.”

  The blogs research is based on ” a variety of publicly available data sets related to charitable giving, generosity, happiness and well-being of residents, and other factors we think contribute to a city’s overall neighborliness” according to their website.

  According to their study Neighbor Blog went right to the source: Neighbors! They asked about their neighborly habits and found:

  • Proximity makes the heart grow fonder. Because of higher prices at the gas pump and more expensive plane tickets, nearly 30% of people say they hang out with their neighbors and local friends more than they used to.
  • You’ve got a friend in me. After enduring more than two brutal years of pandemic conditions and a tumultuous economy, 42.5% of people are more willing than before to help out a neighbor, and 41% are choosing to support small businesses over national chains.
  • Republicans, democrats, and independents unite. Despite a big (and seemingly divisive) election this year, 45% of people recognize that their neighbors have different political affiliations than their own, but choose to be neighborly anyway.

    Pennsylvania: The 10 Best Colleges, Ranked

    Each year, U.S. News & World Report comes out with its rankings for the best colleges in the United States. Pennsylvania, of course, is known for having great colleges and universities, so it’s no surprise that the Mitten is a often a favorite on the list.

    Now, U.S. News & World Report has released its 2022-2023 Best Colleges rankings, and a whopping 46 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania were ranked among the best. So which schools were on top?

    U.S. News has been publishing this guide of the best colleges across the U.S. for almost 40 years. According to a release, methodology has evolved over the years to reflect changes in higher education, says Kim Castro, editor and chief content officer at U.S. News. U.S. News prides itself on offering a ranking for millions of parents with “useful data and information to help with one of life’s biggest decisions,” Castro said.

    In this year’s study, U.S. News ranked a massive 1,500 colleges and universities in 17 academic measures. When going about ranking, U.S. News first put each school into a category based on its mission and, sometimes, its geographic location. There are also different lists for different kinds of universities. National universities are research-heavy and have several doctoral programs, while liberal arts colleges are ranked separately.

    Regarding Pennsylvania’s colleges, U.S. News states, “More than 100 four-year, degree-granting institutions for which U.S. News has information are located throughout Pennsylvania, including a mix of large research universities, midsize colleges, small liberal arts schools and several specialty schools. Among the specialty schools in Pennsylvania are art schools, seminaries and health sciences institutions. Many colleges and universities in Pennsylvania are located in the major cities of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, the latter being the fifth-largest city in the U.S. Dozens of top colleges and universities in Pennsylvania are publicly funded, including Pennsylvania State University—University Park, one of the largest universities in the U.S. with more than 39,000 undergraduate students.” Read on for 10 Pennsylvania colleges and universities that made the cut.
