Road construction seems to be everywhere this summer! And starting next week you can add a re-decking projecting beginning on the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
And today we learned about another change this week on the I95 Wilmington Restore The Corridor project.
Starting on or near August 25, 2022 you will notice a slight modification to the current I95 northbound set up near Exit 8 for US Route 202.
The left shoulder will be closed, the northbound left lane will be the through lane and the northbound right lane will be for traffic exiting at US 202.
DelDot calls this a minor. The adjustment will allow for traffic barrier work in the median and left shoulder.
This new traffic pattern should stay in place through the end of September 2022.
This change may increase traffic congestion in the area during peak travel periods.
As advised during the entire Restore The Corridor project, I-495 is your savior from the jams!
Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area.
