Boomers were born between 1945 and 1964.
Gen X born between 1965 and 1980.
Millennials were born between 1981 and 1996.
…and Generation Z are those born between 1997 and 2012.
There are members off all these generations in the workplace. And while we are all human beings living on the same planet, each generation has a different set of values and world view mainly due to the times they grew up in, and the events that shaped those years.
The job search site Indeed recently conducted a survey of about 1,000 workers from across generations. Their goal was to find out how these different generations experience and find solutions to overwhelming work issues that leave them feeling exhausted.
This burn out has led to quiet quitting. Quiet quitting refers to employees focusing on just their assigned duties and being less invested in their work.
The survey revealed that all workers, of all generations feel burned out to some degree.
The survey also pointed out that we tend to view ourselves differently than people of other generations.
