According to The Street, Delaware has some of the best engagement ring prices in the country.
The First State is the 2nd best place to buy an engagement ring if you are looking to save some cash.
States with the best bang for your buck are as follows:
- South Dakota
- Delaware
- Utah
- Maine
- Mississippi
Delawareans average right around $4,000 when buying a ring for their proposal.
So where does Delaware compare to our neighbor states?
Pennsylvanians drop around $7,600 on their rings, in New Jersey they spend an average of $8,800, and in Maryland the average is $7,600.
Washington state came out with the highest national average — $10,109 compared to the $3,005 spent in South Dakota.
The big question always is….How much should you spend on an engagement ring?
The suggested amount is usually three months of your salary…but does everyone follow that?
