Delaware Is The 2nd Best Place To Propose In The US

Wedding season is never ending these days, and sometimes it feels like your entire Facebook feed is constantly getting engaged.

Lucky for them, Delaware is the 2nd best place to propose in the US.

According to The Street, Delaware has some of the best engagement ring prices in the country.

The First State is the 2nd best place to buy an engagement ring if you are looking to save some cash.

States with the best bang for your buck are as follows:

  1. South Dakota
  2. Delaware
  3. Utah
  4. Maine
  5. Mississippi

Delawareans average right around $4,000 when buying a ring for their proposal.

So where does Delaware compare to our neighbor states?

Pennsylvanians drop around $7,600 on their rings, in New Jersey they spend an average of $8,800, and in Maryland the average is $7,600.

Washington state came out with the highest national average -- $10,109 compared to the $3,005 spent in South Dakota.

The big question always is....How much should you spend on an engagement ring?

The suggested amount is usually three months of your salary...but does everyone follow that?

"It's become a suggested engagement ring rule that one should shell out about three months of their salary, but this is the most common (and outdated) engagement ring myth (phew!). With the advancement of technology, and lab-grown diamonds coming into play—not costing an arm and a leg—one shouldn’t be spending over a month’s salary on the ring, while still retaining the size and quality of the stone they had in mind" Brides.com says.

So if you are looking to save some cash and get engaged, taking a trip to Delaware seems to be the right play.

Plus you can grab some cheaper beer, wine, and champagne to celebrate.

The Price of a Hot Dog at Every Major League Baseball Stadium in 2023

One of my favorite things about spring is the start of the baseball season and all that great ballpark food. If you're heading out to a game this season in Philly or even traveling out of state, here's the price of a hot dog at every Major League Baseball stadium in 2023.

And we know they can't just charge a dollar at a Phillies game...

The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, the smell of hot dogs and popcorn in the air - there's nothing quite like a day at the baseball stadium. I used to live right on the Illinois/Wisconsin border, so it was a prime location for baseball. It was about an hour to Milwaukee to see the Brewers. It was just a little longer to Chicago to see the Cubs (and the Sox too, but Go Cubbies!)

I don't know what it is about a beer at the ballpark, but they just hit different. And so do the hot dogs! I don't know what it is about them, but there's nothing better. Is it the actual hot dog itself? The bun that gets extra steamy soft after being wrapped in the tin foil? Is there a secret ingredient in the condiments? Whatever it is, I am definitely that girl who is like a kid on Christmas morning, except instead of presents, I'm excited about processed meat in a bun. Just pure joy found in a ballpark dog.

Whether you're heading locally to a game, or taking a trip out of town, you may wonder about concession prices and how much it'll cost ya. That's where we turn to nj.bet who did the research on all things MLB. If they got to taste-test the hot dogs on their journey, I'm officially jealous.
