We Haven’t Showered As Much Since The Pandemic
Since the beginning of the pandemic people have been taking less showers. Which makes sense, we leaving the house significantly less than ever before. However, it seems like now people are still keeping the trend going.
According to a study done by YouGov showed that 17% of British people said that abandoned the daily shower during the pandemic. Twitter seemed to show a lot of support also for not showering daily this past year. Some people say their reasoning is that they aren’t around as many people while others site showering’s effect on the environment as their motive.
Doctors support this change from showering everyday. They say that using soap on your body everyday can cause your skin to lose some of it’s natural oils and also make it feel dry. According to NYtimes.com, we would need masses people to shower significantly for it to have any impact on carbon emission.
