Southern Delaware Food Festival Returns to Rehoboth Beach with 20 Restaurants, 100 Beverage Options
Schellville in Rehoboth Beach is hosting the Southern Delaware Wine, Food, and Music Festival on May 3, 2025. The event, running until 3:30 p.m., brings together food from 20 local restaurants along with 100 different drinks to try.
After moving from its planned October 2024 date, the ninth yearly festival is happening in spring for the first time. People can try food from Atlantic Social, Blackwall Hitch, Kaisey’s Delights, Seed, Sirocco Food & Drink, and The Modern Graze.
“We appreciate the community’s continued support,” said Stacy LaMotta, the festival’s president and founder, to WMMR.
Over nine years, this event has raised more than $250,000 for local charities. Money from tickets and activities goes to Sussex County Habitat for Humanity and the Harry K. Foundation.
Some lucky ticket holders will start the fun with a special VIP dinner on May 2 at 6 p.m., featuring food by Chef Sean Corea.
The main event includes bourbon tasting, a silent auction, and a wine wall. In an exciting competition, chefs from around Delaware face off in a timed cooking challenge.
Schellville’s big 5.5-acre space has plenty of room for bands, food stands, and drink vendors. This place usually becomes a Christmas village each December, with train rides and craft markets.
Previous festivals had artists making artwork live. The 2025 event keeps its focus on bringing together great food, drinks, and entertainment.
Tickets, including VIP options, are on sale now on the festival’s website.
