Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest: What to Know, What to Do
The Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is now open for a 32nd holiday season along the Delaware River Waterfront. The celebration takes place at 101 S. Columbus Blvd. in Philadelphia. Guests will discover a new festival layout and an NHL-sized ice skating rink this year.
Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest will run seven days a week, from Nov. 29, 2024, through March 2, 2025, including holidays. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
Activities
Visitors can warm up in cozy cabins or hang out by the fire pits. Carnival rides and arcade games offer family entertainment, while food vendors such as Skelly’s Pizza Port will have everything from hot pizzas to Philly-style cheesesteaks. Local brews, festive cocktails, mocktails, and more will add to the spirits of the season.
Guests can reserve the Rinkside Lounge, a cozy heated apres-skate experience featuring plush seating, rustic decor, and picture-perfect views. As a new offering this year, visitors can enjoy a private fire pit and exclusive photo-op area for Rinkside Lounge renters. Additional cozy cabins and fire pit areas are available for rent. Ice skating tickets are available for purchase in advance online. Independence Blue Cross ticketholders and employees can receive up to four skating admission tickets with proof of member card, including Medicare, Medicaid, Keystone, Personal Choice, and AmeriHealth. Ice skate rentals are not included.
Parking and Transportation
On-site parking is limited, but you can access the Delaware River Waterfront from the Delaware River Trail, rideshare, and public transit.
