Surf Bagel Is Expanding Once Again
Nothing beats a bagel on a beach, and a Delaware favorite is making it’s footprint bigger once again.
According to Delaware Business Times “A former Dairy Queen at 1055 Coastal Highway was recently razed by owner Balsamo Real Estate, and the site could soon be home to the southernmost location for the local breakfast franchise.”
Delaware Business Times says that Surf Bagel is eying a summer 2024 opening for the Fenwick location.
As we previously wrote, this would be the newest expansion of Surf Bagel!
That Surf Bagel is located at 204 NE Front St #1, Milford, DE 19963.
According to Milford LIVE! “Surf Bagel is known for its authentic, fresh bagels, accompanying spreads as well as creative breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The Milford menu is the same as their other two locations while 45 new jobs will be created as part of their opening.”
Surf Bagel just doesn’t do bagels. They also make cheesesteaks, salads, and grilled cheeses. Surf Bagel also has some killer sandwiches.
Tacos and burritos round out their menu. You can also treat yourself to one of their many smoothies.
Customers can also order online and request charitable events from Surf Bagel.
Customers can also inquire about “Donation Day Tuesday” where Surf Bagel where 10% of sales will be donated back to a local charitable organization.
Owners of Surf Bagel chose Milford because of the towns rich history and and recognize it as an important hub in Delaware.
The Lewes location of Surf Bagel is their flagship location. When they opened in 2004 there was shockingly no other place to score some New York style bagels.
The expansion is the latest move by SoDel Concepts as owners believe Surf Bagel is a brand that could go beyond Southern Delaware.
