New Bagel Shop Is Coming To Millsboro

A new bagel shop is coming to Millsboro as the company continues it’s expansion.

Millsboro is welcoming Surf Bagel to town!

According to the Delaware Business Times “SoDel Concepts revealed that it would be leasing a storefront at the Taormina Square Shopping Center on Route 24 this summer. An exact date of opening has yet to be determined, although it is anticipated Surf Bagel would hire between 30 and 40 employees for the new location.”

The new Surf Bagel would actually fall into Long Neck and be located in the Taormina Square Shopping Center.

The shopping center has 36,000 square foot new construction along with High-end retail shopping complex and is 15 minutes West of Delaware Beaches in Millsboro/Long Neck.

The Lewes location of Surf Bagel is their flagship location. When they opened in 2004 there was shockingly no other place to score some New York style bagels.

Surf Bagel just doesn’t do bagels. They also make cheesesteaks, salads, and grilled cheeses. Surf Bagel also has some killer sandwiches.

Tacos and burritos round out their menu. You can also treat yourself to one of their many smoothies.

Customers can also order online and request charitable events from Surf Bagel.

Customers can also inquire about “Donation Day Tuesday” where Surf Bagel where 10% of sales will be donated back to a local charitable organization.

  If these were ranked in order of most dearly missed, this could be at the top of the list. Stone Balloon was famous for live music every single night, and even hosted huge musical acts such as Metallica in their early career.

  Bert’s was a small local chain of record shops across Delaware, and quite possibly the only one worth visiting when it was around.

• Champions in the Mall

  The Concord Mall was home to many retailers and everyone remembered going for new shoes at Champions.

  Newark’s Mini Mall wasn’t anything big or intimidating, but it’s home to many memories for teenagers who grew up with it.

  This is a more historic location. The State Theater was located on Main Street in Newark and was actually demolished in the 80s. The location is now apartments and restaurants.
