LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 05: Jack Harlow attends the 65th GRAMMY Awards on February 05, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.

Jack Harlow dropped his new album Jackman Friday (April 28). The 10 track-LP is the Kentucky native’s third studio album.

The rapper named the album after his full first name, which is, in fact, Jackman. The project is only 24 minutes and is the definition of a solo effort since the “First Class” rapper did not have any featured artist on the album.

The album came as a complete surprise to fans as Harlow announced the project just two days before the release date. He dropped the announcement on social media with the album artwork featuring a shirtless Jack.

Jackman comes after his 2022 sophomore album Come Home The Kids Miss You. The Grammy-nominated album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The album produced hits such as “Churchill Downs,” “Dua Lipa,” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, “First Class.”

Come Home The Kids Miss You was nominated for Best Rap Album, “Churchill Downs” was nominated for Best Rap Song, and “First Class” was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

His 2020 debut album, That’s What They All Say, put the rapper on the map with his lead single “What’s Poppin.”

Outside of the studio, Harlow has been using his acting skills as he will be starring in the White Men Can’t Jump remake. The rapper is playing the character Jeremy, played by Woody Harrelson in the original. Sinqua Walls will be taking over Wesley Snipes’ role as Kamal Allen. The film will also star Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, Vince Staples, Myles Bullock, and Lance Reddick. It finds both Harlow and Walss’ characters strapped for cash. They devise a plan to enter a basketball competition that could win them $50,000.

The film is set to release on May 19.
