Game designer Richie Branson released Not Like Us: The Game on Monday (July 15), which appears to find users playing as Kendrick Lamar wielding a wooden baseball bat, tasked with hitting owls in various directions (with the word “wop” appearing each time you do), while an 8-bit version of the smash-hit song plays in the background. Now Drake fans have responded with a video game celebrating his Lamar diss “Family Matters.”

On Monday (July 22), an X account made an appearance with Family Matters The Game, which seemingly targets Lamar. The video game is inspired by Drake’s “Family Matters” lyrics making fun of Lamar’s desire to win Grammy Awards. “Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a Grammy right now,” he raps on the diss.

The objective of the game is to shoot as many Grammy Award trophies into K. Dot’s mouth as possible. As the levels go up, the game becomes more challenging with Kendrick Lamar’s head moving from side to side with a digitized version of the “Family Matters” instrumental playing in the background.

Similarly, each level of Not Like Us: The Game gets progressively harder as there’s less time to locate the owl. “I intentionally made the game spike in difficulty above 17, so any score 18 and above should be celebrated,” Branson wrote on X.

“Made by some real ones to prove a point. That Not Like Us game was trash. KBots backdooring the plays like Kendrick’s Spotify, haha,” the game’s credits state while insinuating that Lamar’s streams were artificially boosted in his beef with Drake.

In the Not Like Us: The Game credits, Branson describes himself as “just a random brotha who designed games for Bleacher Report and worked for Epic Games as a game designer on a little game called Fortnite. This game is a free love letter to video games and hip-hop.”

Currently, Family Matters The Game‘s high score is listed at 78 by a user named FM. “Let’s see if @Complex ,@XXL and all the other site run with the Family Matters Game like they did the other game. Someone send this ish to @Akademiks,” the game’s X account added.

Drake fans seem to be really into the new game, while some people are questioning why the beef is “still a thing.” One person wrote, “Nah this is hilarious whoever made this.” Someone else said, “8-bit Family Matters goes so god damn hard.” Another person said, “This beef got weird you.”

Of course, several Kendrick Lamar fans chimed in. “This is gonna be so funny when not like us wins a Grammy,” someone wrote.
