Forbes always tallies up its annual list of the richest people in the U.S., and each year, several Pennsylvania residents are on the list. The latest list, which features the 400 wealthiest people living in America, features everyone from investors to real estate executives to tech company owners. The billionaires range in age from their 20s to their 90s, so it’s a broad range.
The richest person in America, according to the report, is Elon Musk, known for his work with Tesla and SpaceX. He has a net worth of $251 billion. Coming in at No. 2 is Jeff Bezos, known for heading up Amazon. Others who made the top 10 are Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Oracle’s Larry Ellison, Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett, Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer, Bloomberg LP’s Michael Bloomberg, and Walmart’s Jim Walton. As for the most billionaires, with a total of 80 billionaires, California had the most residents on the list.
So, who is the richest person in Pennsylvania? Jeff Yass, who is always on the list. Yass is a cofounder of Susquehanna International Group, which is a hugely successful trading firm on Wall Street. His worth is a whopping $30 billion. Find the full list here.
