Could This Delaware Cheesesteak Beat Philly’s?
Where do you go to get a Philly Cheesesteak? Philly right?
Maybe Pat’s, Geno’s, Dalessandro’s, Ishkabibble’s – wherever your mouth waters for a delicious hot steak, you’re probably thinking, “I only eat Philly Cheesesteaks in Philly.”
Fair enough, but may we suggest Delaware for your next Philly.
TenderBones Rib Shack in Bear Delaware has built up a reputation for their “off-the-menu” $15 cheesesteaks.
Clint Harris, who is better known as Chef Bones, created the sandwich after one of Delaware’s favorite sports moments in history. You know what I’m talking about – the Eagles winning the 2017-2018 Super Bowl.
The sandwich consists of a signature blend of rib-eye steak, oh yes, as well as green bell peppers, red bell peppers, Spanish onions and American cheese. All together – 3 pounds of ingredients on just one sandwich.
You may only swear by Wiz Wit from Pat’s but even James Pappas, creator of the Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure, gave the Delaware cheesesteak a 96 out of 100, one of the highest scores yet.
I know Jessie wouldn’t be fond of such a sandwich being a vegetarian and all, but this definitely sounds like something worth trying if you enjoy a good steak.
