• Delaware native – born in Wilmington, grew up in Edgemoor Gardens.
• Attended K-12 in the Mount Pleasant Special School District (now part of the Brandywine School District): Edge Moor Elementary, Mount Pleasant Intermediate, Mount Pleasant High School
• Active at Mount Pleasant’s 91.7 WMPH throughout high school
• Named to Mount Pleasant Hall of Fame in 2011.

• Earned A.A.S. in Industrial Engineering at Delaware Technical & Community College
• Trained and was active with Christine as Delaware foster care parents for more than four years. Twenty children spent anytime from an overnight to nearly a year in their care. Mike and Christine adopted two of those placed with them
• Father of four adult children and seven grandchildren
• Sports dad and pop-pop: swimming, softball, baseball, basketball, soccer. Has been known to officiate or announce at many events. Also can be found near the out-of-bounds markers at any one of several golf courses in the area
• Past member of the Delaware (Newark) Jaycees
• Member of the WMPH Advisory Board for the Brandywine School District
• A licensed Delaware Real Estate Agent for Patterson-Schwartz Greenville and as a REALTOR® is a member of New Castle County Board of REALTORS, the Delaware Association of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS
