Where are the happiest cities in the Delaware region?

Since WJBR serves the world from right here in Wilmington, Delaware, our view of the world will always be Delaware centric!

For the sake of this article, the “Delaware Region” includes the happiest cities here in the 1st state. And also the happiest cities in New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania and near-by Virginia and DC.

Wallethub recently ranked the happiest cities in the United States. Here is how they figured this out:

In order to determine the happiest cities in America, WalletHub compared 182 of the largest cities — including the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state — across three key dimensions: 1) Emotional & Physical Well-Being, 2) Income & Employment and 3) Community & Environment.

The people of California see pretty happy, Freemont, CA comes in at #1 overall. In fact, California has 4 towns in the top 10.

So, how did we do close to home?

The highest ranking town in our region is in Howard County Maryland and the lowest ranked is in Virginia.

A Delaware town barely cracked the top 100.

Of course we find happiness through our family, our friends, our careers, fun activities and entertainment options. But WHERE we live is a major factor of how happy we are.
