"The ghost story about Old Maggie's Bridge is an interesting one, but it certainly does have some elements of an urban legend about it, given that it seems to be a 'Bloody Mary' type of game," they note. "However, it is popular enough that local people will still warn visitors about the bridge, so it most likely qualifies for being included, even if it is a little embellished." As the story goes, following a fire in 1899, which destroyed this brothel, casino and saloon, “the space was rebuilt and meticulously restored, bringing spirited supernatural stories,” according to Timeout.com. So, who’s the ghost who occupies this spot? It’s not a bar regular. It’s a “former miner who died in a gunfight.” They also state that some of the taxidermy and art that decorates the place is really creepy, which adds a nice, spooky touch. They say this spot is affordable if you stay with a large group. I honestly wouldn’t want to stay at any of these places alone, so I say, the more, the merrier.
