A Jimmy Buffet remembrance ceremony and afternoon tea celebration in taking place in Townsend this weekend.
The legendary and infamous singer and songwriter passed away over labor day weekend and now Delaware Parrotheads have a chance to remember Jimmy Buffet this weekend.
An Afternoon Tea in Remembrance of Jimmy Buffet takes place this Saturday September 23rd at 1pm. The event is for ages 14 years old and up and will take place at The Market at Belaire, 4098 Willey Dr, Townsend, DE 19734, USA.

The Market at Belaire is “A Quaint Farm Store located on a scenic farm property made up of local artists and vendors offering one-of-a-kind items and farm goods locally sourced and made at the farm” according to their website.
The Market at Belaire is home to the brand Vintage Cow. The product line benefits the Wildflower Farm Foundation a not-for-profit which benefits agricultural education in the local community.
The Market at Belaire is also home to The Local Buzz, Brownies Chainsaw Carvings, The Turning Hooke, Country Haven Farm, and the Party Girls.
Jimmy Buffet passed away peacefully on September 1st, 2023 after battling Merkel Cell Skin Cancer for four years.
He released over 30 albums and sold over 20 million albums.
Buffet spun his vacation lifestyle into restaurants, hotels, liquors, and clothing. His fans, myself included, are infamously known as Parrotheads.
Jimmy Buffet’s final album is set to release this upcoming November and features Emmylou Harris along with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
