Orionid Meteor Shower Coming This Week
Tomorrow (October 21st) , the Orionid Meteor Shower will be putting on a show!
According to Earthsky.org, the Orionid meteors can be seen every year between October 2 and November 7th. That is the time when Earth passes through the debris left behind by Comet Halley. You can typically see the most meteors in the sky just before dawn. The moon is also in a waxing crescent phase and will set before midnight. This should provide a nice dark sky so everyone can see the meteors clearly. They should be visible from whatever direction you are looking at the sky.
NASA suggests for the best view you find an area of dark sky and try to avoid street lights and other light pollution!
