Fiona Apple Has A New Album On The Way
New music from Fiona Apple is on the way. The singer has announced that her new album, Fetch the Bolt Cutters, will be out on April 17. This will be the singer’s first album since The Idler Wheel came out in 2012.
As mentioned by Rolling Stone, “the album features contributions from indie rock drummer Amy Wood, sound engineer (and Wood’s father) John Would, bassist Sebastian Steinberg of the band Soul Coughing and Latin singer-songwriter Davíd Garza.” Cara Delevingne will also make an appearance on the album’s title track. The outlet also explains that Fetch the Bolt Cutters is titled after a line said by Gillian Anderson in the British crime drama, The Fall.
Fiona Apple made headlines back in October for playfully calling out Lil Nas X for sample one of her songs. Lil Nas X later tweeted that he wanted to collaborate with her on his new album.
There is a teaser online for the upcoming album that shows a dog running around and playing on the beach. Watch the taser below.
