Nipsey Hussle Fans Make The Late Rapper Trend On Twitter Three Times Simultaneously On His Death Anniversary
The marathon continues! Using the hashtags “Nipsey,” “Victory Lap,” and “Long Live Nip,” Nipsey Hussle fans have made the late rapper trend on Twitter three times simultaneously on his death anniversary (Mar. 31).
As we previously reported, on March 31, 2019, Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot outside of his apparel store The Marathon Clothing in South Los Angeles. Nipsey Hussle posthumously won the award for Best Rap Performance at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards for his single “Racks In The Middle.”
A Nipsey Hussle documentary is also coming to Netflix, and it’s directed by Oscar-nominated director Ava Duvernay, as Deadline reports. The film will be co-produced by both Duvernay’s ARRAY banner and Hussle’s Marathon Films. Take a look at some of the tweets below.

both legends in the making gone too soon.... RIP Selena Q & Nipsey Hussle pic.twitter.com/OctwWS68ft
Nipsey's death may have been more tragic than Tupac and Biggie's combined. While Tupac had plans on a revolution, Nipsey planned to teach his community how to keep their money in the community. We lost a good one. Damn Nip pic.twitter.com/pfOzV5ERBz

#MyLatest — Exactly a year after his tragic murder, Nipsey Hussle's legacy shines brighter than ever. But his death shook the hip-hop world to its very core — and 12 months later has brought everything but closure. #RIPNIP 🏁https://t.co/SfO7oG1zEG

So much has changed in a year. I think about these images often. Who knew it'd be their last shoot together. But the love and beauty between Nipsey and Lauren SHINES in every picture.
