Officials: Check Your Tree for Praying Mantis Eggs
That may not be a cute little pinecone on your live Christmas tree according to officials who say that walnut-sized mass hanging from your live tree could be a mass containing a hundreds of praying mantis eggs. The warning first came up in Ohio after the Erie County Facebook page showed one of these masses. Experts say if you see one, don’t fling lights on it and ignore it. Just clip the branch it’s hanging from and place it in your garden. If you’d rather not touch it and hope a Christmas miracle takes it away, you may be relieved to know that if the eggs hatch they’ll just starve while inside your home.
What would you do if you found this on your Christmas tree? https://t.co/Cdg2vpOoj5
