What We Learned Today! 11/5
Everyday we like to reflect on what we learned during the Morning Show. Join us for more wisdom weekdays from 5:30-10 !
- A Smash Mouth offense in football is an offensive system that relies on a strong running game. It’s also a band name.
- A McDonald’s super-fan kept his burger and fries in a glass container for ten years. It still looks good enough to eat. Imagine what the hot dog in the fridge will be like in ten years.
- We’re all going on a field trip! A Christmas themed popup bar called Blitzen is coming to downtown Wilmington. It’s completely decorated with Christmas trees, lights and reindeer. You can enjoy a Christmas cocktail in a holiday themed mug.
- Operation Warm collects brand new coats for underserved children in the area. Ryan Kennedy from Harvey Hanna and some other brave people are camping out in the cold on Friday night to raise funds and awareness for the cause. You can help by visiting dekidsfund.com.
- Darlene Quinn works for FedEx and she was walking 12 miles home from work every day. Some of her coworkers noticed and offered her rides. When they learned that her car broke down and she couldn’t afford to fix it, they set up a GoFundMe and they were able to buy her a new car.
