Aerosmith, Tom Petty Recordings Among 2019 GRAMMY HOF Inductees
The GRAMMY Hall of Fame is a mix of iconic singles and albums that “exhibit qualitative or historical significance,” and the 2019 class certainly meet that criteria.
Among this year’s inductees is Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” from their 1975 album Toys in the Attic and Tom Petty’s 1989 album Full Moon Fever. Other recordings in the 2019 class include Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” Curtis Mayfield’s “Move On Up,” Link Wray & His Ray Men’s “Rumble” and The Troggs’ “Wild Thing.” (A full list of the 2019 GRAMMY Hall of Fame induction class is below.)
This is the 46th year of the GRAMMY Hall of Fame’s existence. It currently features 1,088 recordings, which are on display at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles.
